The Flavor of Favor (JULIE)

I got the job!!!!!!!!!!! They put me to work right away and it has been CRAZY. First of all, after the phone interview, I was sure I totally flubbed it. I was just sick for the rest of the day.... so worried. Then, the next morning I got the call from my manager who said she didn't want to get her hopes up because only 40% of the people who do the phone interview pass it. She said I passed with flying colors and was highly recommended for the job. I couldn't believe it! I came in that night for training and have been working daily since then. This job is so awesome, I love it! I have had an incredible amount of favor with everyone at Dillard's so far, from the "top" to the bottom of the todem pole. The manager that had introduced me to the Clinique manager has been trying to talk me into working for her in her department. Of course, I'm happy with Clinique. Anywho, just wanted to update everyone.. sorry for the delay. Today is my first day off since I got hired. WHEW.

Here We Go! (JULIE)

Hey there everyone... so, tomorrow at 3:00... very important phone interview for Clinique. It's a personality test where my personality has to match what they are looking for in an employee. Pray that I will do well, Lord willing. This job seems perfect for me so far with some growing room as well. The manager of the counter (the one who interviewed me) has told me that she wants me to take her job! Very exciting. The starting pay is already great plus, I'll get $1200 a year in free makeup from the company! God please put the right words in my mouth!

RED TAPE (JULIE)

So, I went in to Dillard's to drop off my resume' and fill out an application. Right then all the Dillard's managers pored out of a meeting and I was immediately swept into an interview with two very well dressed young women. One was interviewing for her department in handbags and accessories and the other was interviewing for a new Clinique consultant. Of course I was immediately drawn to the Clinique consulting position as I have had plenty of experience in this field. The interview went well with her and she said she was very excited I came in that day (yesterday) and so on. BUT, I still have to get through what is called a "Talent Plus" phone interview. I am a little nervous about this. I really would love to have this job! After the phone interview I'll have another interview with Dillard's. Hope it all goes through! I'll keep you "posted".
